Dr. Omkar Rai is Ex DG of STPI, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India. Under his leadership, the IT/ITES/ESDM industry witnessed a significant growth through his visionary approach. He has played a seminal role in dispersing the IT/ITeS industry to Tier-2/3 cities in India and revolutionising the technology startup ecosystem in India. He has been a protagonist of software product nation in the country and spearheaded the establishment of 20 Centres of Entrepreneurship in emerging technology domain. He is actively involved in various policy formulations required for the growth of industry from time to time.
