This is the story of how I lost my short-term memory — and why I built a digital brain to help me live a normal life again.
At one point I could forget something just 15 seconds after hearing it. I got lost leaving buildings, stood in the middle of traffic without realizing it, and relied heavily on my wife to navigate everyday life.
After years of therapy and rebuilding my life, one lesson became clear: if I wanted to keep my mind, I had to keep using it.
So I began building what I now call a digital brain.
Using reminders, notes, alarms, voice memos, and AI, I created simple systems that reduce the mental load of daily life.
This channel explores practical technology and AI tools that help thoughtful adults stay capable and independent in a rapidly changing world.
I’m not a doctor — just someone sharing what has helped me live a more manageable life.
If the modern world sometimes feels overwhelming, you’re not alone.
