It’s not really clear who Derek Walker thinks he is or what he’s trying to accomplish. Judging by the evidence he likes telling stories through film and video. He’s written, directed, and submitted short films to film festivals and has gotten some admirable accolades from them. Beyond that, he draws on the side in an effort to learn 2D animation. Perhaps he does it because he’s loved animation and cartoons ever since he was a kid or maybe he just enjoys things that take a ridiculous amount of time and energy. He’s a creative, and they tend to be kinda weird. Currently, Derek is a student at the University of Georgia. He’s aiming to be an Entertainment and Media Studies major with a minor in Film Studies and Theatre. In the meantime, he’s in clubs involving sketch writing and improv. Besides animation, comedy, the power of friendship, watching TV and making movies, Derek’s other passions include… I don’t know... sleeping maybe?
