So what project brings me to start this channel and make these videos? Well, I have a 2008 Chevy suburban, with a 5.3 L V8 motor, that has 240K miles. It’s a great truck with strong bones, a still-beautiful interior, and it serves the needs for my family and I. But the engine is slowly getting tired, and each day it gets a little closer to needing a rebuilt. So I thought, why not use this opportunity to try my very first engine rebuilt project! Let’s do this while the truck is still running, and have an engine ready to swap in for when it finally dies? And of course since I’m brand new at engine rebuilding, I’m going to video document everything! And since I’ll have all this video on my PC, why not upload it to YouTube and share my experience with others? And who knows, maybe along the way I’ll learn something from others who leave comments.
