The DestinE Platform is the entry point to Destination Earth (DestinE) , providing an open ecosystem of services that enable users to discover, access and exploit the DestinE data and resources. DestinE is a European Union funded initiative, with the aim to build a digital replica of the Earth system to model, monitor and simulate natural phenomena, hazards and the related human activities. The initiative is being jointly implemented by three entrusted entities: ESA, responsible for building the ‘Core Service Platform’, ECMWF, responsible for the creation of the first two ‘digital twins’ and the ‘Digital Twin Engine’, and EUMETSAT, responsible for the creation of the ‘Data Lake’. The platform operates an open and secure cloud environment to support DestinE data exploitation, addressing the needs of a broad community, including citizens, scientists, academics, commercial entities, and policy makers, and provides onboarding support for integrating external services and resources.
